Part of the Australia Sector, Aerospace Training Services, a QinetiQ Company, based in The Shoalhaven, NSW, provides quality aviation maintenance training and training support to the Australian Defence Force and is a recognised training organisation (RTO) and CASA Part 147 Maintenance Training Organisation (MTO).
As QinetiQ continues to grow and develop our capabilities we are looking for experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineers or Avionics and Mechanical System Instructors to join our training team as an Aviation Trade Instructor.
In this role you will be supporting the development of the industry, by guiding and teaching groups of trainees through the certificate IV or diploma in Aeroskills. Your experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer will ensure your success in this role. You are looking to take your AME/LAME career in a new direction, to give back and support the industry or you are an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Instructor looking for a new opportunity in the Shoalhaven.
You will have the opportunity to enjoy our state of the art facility and grow your career with a global organisation as we develop and grow our training business.
You will bring all of your experience and knowledge to this role which will see you being an influential guiding hand to those at the beginning of their Aircraft Maintenance Engineering journey.
Your day to day role will see you;
Developing session plans in accordance with regulatory and training requirements
Delivering high quality training to both civilian and defence training cohorts
Liaising with stakeholders across the business and industry
Supporting students on their learning journey
Managing documentation and training records
Exploring both in person and online training options in line with industry trends
As our ideal candidate you will bring;
Experience as an AME / LAME
A Cert IV in Aeroskills
Excellent communication skills
A desire to move into a training role
We will provide the opportunity for you to grow into the role with a certificate IV in Training & Assessment, and support you to stay in the industry whilst taking your experience in a new direction.
Candidates will need to be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
