REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject (education, business, international business, accounting, commerce, human resource management, economics, marketing, communication, or a related field); other combinations of education and experience may be considered
• Significant industry experience in the areas of Education, Business, International Business, Accounting, Commerce, Human Resource Management, Economics, Marketing, Communication
• Experience creating positive learning environments with diverse learners
• Experience teaching, preferably in a variety of business areas including but not limited to international business, economics, marketing, accounting, bookkeeping, finance, communication, human resource management and/or others
• Experience with educational technologies such as D2L, Learn, and other software that could be used in a classroom setting
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office including MS Teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Ability to work remotely and in person
• Strong presentation skills
• Commitment to student success through active and facilitative approaches when teaching in person and online
• Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion or current enrolment in RRC Polytech’s Teaching for Learning in Applied Education (TFL) program
• Experience teaching international students and/or speakers of English as an additional language.
• Previous experience teaching in post-secondary educational institution or workplace training program

We are looking for a dynamic and engaging individual to join the School of Continuing Education, Business Management and Leadership area in our daytime programming as an Instructor.
This position requires someone to teach into one or all of Business Management, Business Accountancy and/or International Business programs, to international students who have at least one post-secondary degree. Instructors in these programs are required to provide a student-centred approach to course instruction, facilitation, develop and modify curriculum, support students with co-op placements, supervise and guide students. Instructors are required to prepare course outlines, develop lesson plans, maintain student records including attendance, evaluations and assessments, and provide academic support as needed. Instructors are required to attend meetings and share information and/or expertise with their peers.
Our culture supports and requires collaborative and team-oriented approaches to teaching and learning. Reporting to the Chair, the successful candidate will fulfill the duties of an instructor and may be assigned to the Notre Dame and/or the Exchange District campuses. Instruction may occur online or in-person, depending on operational demands.
