INSTRUCTOR, HEALTH CARE AIDE AND HEALTH UNIT CLERK PROGRAMS (TERM PART-TIME)

POSITION TYPE: 4 Part-Time, Term Positions Available (anticipated March 3, 2025 up to July 31, 2025). Please note, that there are multiple term positions available, spanning in length from seven weeks to six months.
SALARY: $33.62 - $51.43 hourly
- The successful candidate with a Masters or PhD in a related field will receive an Educational Supplement of $2,850 or $5,700 per annum, respectively, pro-rated on an hourly basis.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Nursing (BN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN); an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or as Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Manitoba or eligible for registration as an RN or LPN in Manitoba
- Several years of recent and relevant clinical experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to teach on campus and remotely
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience developing curriculum and instructing at a post-secondary level
- Certificate in Teaching for Learning or Adult Education
- Experience developing and instructing distance delivered courses including on-line
- Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver blended (synchronous and asynchronous) instruction
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chair, Nursing & Affiliated Health, Instructors are required for teaching both theory and clinical courses for the Health Care Aide and Health Unit Clerk Programs. The Instructor will provide supervision and guidance of students in both classroom and practicum settings. This will include maintaining student records, student evaluation, development and adherence to the delivery schedule within an allocated time, attendance at scheduled meetings, ensuring curriculum content is consistent with the parent program and other professional duties related to instruction. Please note that there are multiple term positions available, spanning in length from seven weeks to six months.
