Empower Education: Join as a Nursing Instructor!
Keyano College’s Nursing & Allied Health Department is currently seeking a Nursing Instructor on a 1-year term. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach in the department. This mainly will include the Practical Nurse and Health Care Aid Programs, but could also apply to Primary Care Paramedic, Advanced Care Paramedic and/or Baccalaureate Nursing programs, in theory, lab and clinical settings.
Note: this is not a remote work opportunity, you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB.

Duties & Responsibilities
Develop/revise/update courses, including consulting with the Chair, Program Coordinator, faculty, advisory committees, and potential employers and students.
Engage in program development, assisting with the program coordinators, and participating in committee work in support of the department, division, or College.
Responsible for developing teaching materials for individualized and group instruction, and incorporate technology into the learning process, where applicable.
Carrying out regularly scheduled instruction, ensuring students awareness of course objectives, approach and evaluation techniques, as well as, recruitment, tutoring and academic counseling of students.
Teaching responsibilities may include theory, lab, and/or clinical. This may involve evenings and weekends on occasion which will be scheduled in advance.
Take the opportunity to participate in showcasing and promoting Keyano College and the Nursing & Allied Health Studies Department in the community.
Qualifications
Master of Nursing preferred, will consider BScN with progress towards Master’s degree and experience
Current clinical experience in medical, surgical, maternal-child, or mental health nursing.
Demonstrated excellent communication, planning, time management, and organizational skills.
Dependable and resourceful team member with a proven track record of managing multiple competing priorities with a calm professional approach.
Successful candidate must have current BLS for Health Care provider and CRNA registration as well as a clean RCMP criminal and vulnerable sector check.
Nice to have
Prior facilitation/teaching groups would be considered an asset.
