Description:
The Opportunity
The Nursing and Allied Health Department of Keyano College requires an experienced instructor to teach in the Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma program. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of the teaching portfolio including course preparation, teaching, assessment and evaluation of students, supervision of students in clinical placements. In addition, the instructor will assist the Program Coordinator with various components of the program including preparation for accreditation and reporting. Other duties may also be assigned.
Note: this is not a remote work opportunity, you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB.

Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Instruct courses, primarily in the Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma program
- Maintain office hours and student mentorship/engagement
- Perform field supervision and practicum support
- Engage with community stakeholders
- Maintain professional competence and knowledge of subject matter
- Participate in program and curriculum development
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in paramedicine or equivalent. An ACP diploma and relevant work experience may be considered.
- Solid knowledge of the Alberta College of Paramedics standards.
- Minimum five years teaching experience in a post -secondary setting is preferred.
- Registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics, as a member in good standing.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- A dependable and resourceful team member with a proven track record of managing multiple priorities.
