WORK MODE: ONSITE (DAY SHIFT ROLE)

We have a permanent vacancy within the Improve Plant Department working on dayshift.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure compliance to site specific, national and international standards with DSM and local legislation, IET wiring Regulations, HSE Guidance, ATEX, COMPEX etc.
  • Ensure the Site Instrument Procedures and Codes of Practice are kept up to date and are being adhered to
  • Responsible for the development/review of Instrument Engineering deliverables from concept through to job completion and sign-off. Including all design phases, procurement, construction, commissioning and documentation close out.
  • Responsible for providing design estimates (solution specification, additional scoping, conceptual and basic engineering)
  • Responsible for the completion of detailed engineering deliverables including specification of equipment, design instrument systems and handover of work packs to the C&I contractor. Specification of cables, containment, protection devices, etc)
  • Liaise with C&I Construction Supervisor and support commissioning and handover activities; Ensure clear work scopes are generated to support offsite packaged projects
  • Review/Accept instrument design of others
  • Focal point to answer technical queries and liaise with the external contractor; Review/acceptance of handover documentation at end of project
  • Supporting the Lifetime Extension (LTE) upgrade plan for site instrument equipment; Develop strategy for all site instrument projects ran by IP and by Large Capital Project (LCP) processes
  • Support and develop technically and maintain competences of the Instrument Engineers and Designers within IP; Support training of site Instrument personnel with new equipment introduced and legislation changes
  • Person will require to have or aim to complete Compex Part 12Adherence to the DSM Management of Change process throughout the project life cycle.
  • Defining and monitoring relevant project steps to milestones to ensure activities are performed as planned and taking corrective action as required.
  • Reporting on status and progress to leadership as appropriate.
  • Demonstrating a proactive approach towards SHE management ; Providing training and coaching support as required.
