Reporting to the Instrument and Controls team lead the instrumentation specialist is a member of the Technical Support Organization for the Operations Team.

At LNG Canada, we are looking for an exceptional Instrumentation specialist to join our team. You’ll be at the forefront of ensuring operational excellence, leveraging cutting-edge technology, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement during the critical phases of our project.
Reporting to the Instrument and Controls team lead the instrumentation specialist is a member of the Technical Support Organization for the Operations Team. This role will be mentor and coach to a small team that includes new Graduate Instrumentation EIT and other instrumentation professionals.

THIS ROLE REQUIRES THAT YOU:

  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)
  • Live in the beautiful District of Stikine (Kitimat/Terrace). For applicants located outside of the region, you are encouraged to explore what Kitimat has to offer in terms of lifestyle including schooling, local amenities, outdoor adventure, and housing, to ensure Kitimat is where you would like to call your new home.
  • Work schedule of 50 hours per week (10-hour days) during commissioning and start-up phases, transitioning to 40 hours per week once the plant reaches steady state.
  • Willingness to work additional hours during turnarounds.
  • Are willing to comply with LNGC’s drug-free and harassment-free work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Undergo a pre-placement medical assessment of your fitness for duty, and Pre-Site Access testing for alcohol and specified drugs.
