Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Instrumentation and Electrical Technician will be part of the Service team, working across Service, Testing, and Commissioning of equipment and installations both at Fabrum’s manufacturing facility prior to shipping, and also on-site at client locations.
This role will require a reasonable amount of travel to client site, both in NZ and internationally.
You will have the opportunity to
- Develop and perform service functions, including maintenance and breakdown troubleshooting
- Carry out testing and commissioning activities, including for new products, helping to develop processes as we go
- Help build our systems and documentation to enable scale and efficiency in a continuous improvement environment
- Work on cutting edge technology including hydrogen, nitrogen, natural gas, and oxygen liquefiers, as well as hydrogen refueling stations.
- Apply your electrical skills and learn mechanical service, including in hazardous environments
- Grow through on the job training and external training and certifications
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Electrician or Electrical Service Technician qualification
- Solid experience in a service, testing, or commissioning environment for complex industrial machinery / plant
- Experience with electrical and control systems testing and troubleshooting
- Ability to travel regularly, in rare cases for periods up to 3-4 week
