We are looking for great people who have worked in domestic properties to join us as Insulation Engineers (Cavity and Loft) to service our ECO customers homes! \uD83D\uDC19
We’re excited to connect with amazing people based across Durham, Newcastle, Darlington, York or Teeside! If you’re based in one of these areas, we’d love to hear from you. You will be based out of our Newton Aycliffe warehouse where you will be required to collect materials from & manage your van stock on a day-to-day basis. We also have offices in Sheffield & Nottingham (more on the horizon).
Here at Octopus Energy ECO, we’re responsible for delivering the government mandated ECO scheme. We are passionate about helping vulnerable customers of lower-income by improving the insulation in their homes, to help reduce their bills and carbon emissions. We work with an internal and external supply chain insulating customer homes across the UK within the compliance rules of the ECO scheme.
The purpose of the role is to provide a customer focused cavity wall and/or loft installation service, ensuring that all technical specifications are adhered to and all relevant safety checks and precautions are carried out in line with company and industry best practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Consistently achieve Octopus Energy ECO competencies in customer focus, communication, health & safety, quality, teamwork, and organisation
  • Install planned work with minimal disruption & communicate with team managers if work cannot proceed and offer solutions
  • Communicate effectively with customers before, during, and after installation to ensure they are informed and satisfied
  • Follow best practices to ensure safe, high-standard installations i.e. machinery settings align with technical specifications, vehicle maintenance
  • Perform daily and weekly health and safety checks and report defects
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with team members
  • Adhere to and improve H&S, quality, and standards through strict compliance with policies
  • Demonstrate commitment, drive, and the ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative
