Description:
Our client in the Reading, PA area is looking for an Insurance for a contract role. he ideal candidate will have experience analyzing insurance policies, managing claims, assessing risk data, and supporting the development of risk management strategies.
Responsibilities of Insurance Analyst
Review, evaluate, and interpret a range of insurance policies, including property, liability, and workers’ compensation, to ensure adequate coverage and risk mitigation for the company.
Investigate and analyze claims, working closely with insurance providers to manage claim filings, settlement negotiations, and resolutions.
Ensure timely reporting and accurate documentation of all claims.
Collect, analyze, and interpret risk data from various sources to assess the company’s exposure to risk. Identify trends, assess the impact of risk factors, and recommend strategies for reducing risk.
Support the risk management team in developing strategies to minimize potential losses by identifying areas of exposure, assisting in implementing safety protocols, and improving insurance coverage options.
Prepare detailed reports on insurance claims, loss history, and risk assessment findings.
Present insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
Work cross-functionally with other departments such as legal, finance, and operations to ensure the company’s insurance needs are met and to manage risks related to the manufacturing industry.
Skills/Qualifications of Insurance Analyst
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in insurance analysis, risk management, or related fields, with a strong preference for experience within the manufacturing sector.
Proficiency in risk analysis tools and software. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with database management and claims systems.
Strong knowledge of insurance policies claims analysis, and risk management principles.
Familiarity with risk assessment tools and techniques.
Proficiency in analyzing data and presenting insights in a clear, actionable manner.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail. Capable of identifying key risks and proposing actionable solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex insurance terms and risk data to non-experts.
Understanding of regulatory requirements in the insurance and manufacturing industries is preferred.
Experience working with insurance brokers and underwriters.
Familiarity with ISO standards and compliance in the manufacturing industry.
