We are looking for an Insurance and Risk Apprentice to be based at our site in Annesley (NG15 0DR), you will be working Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm, remotely up to 3 days per week (Subject to Business requirements).
As an Insurance and Risk Apprentice , you will provide support the Insurance Team with the associated aspects of claims handling, including letter writing, telephone contact, diary management, valuation, negotiation through to settlement of claims for loss and or damage relating to Motor, Personal Injuries, Goods in Transit and other risks covered by the YLUK Insurance Programme, company car allocation and management of repair process in order to maintain compliance with appropriate policies.
The role will offer a starting salary of £17000-£18000 per annum.

Main responsibilities:
•Creating positive connections with insurers and adjusters to comply with policy conditions, along with sharing key financial data to relevant stakeholders following road traffic accidents. Keeping accurate records in relation to licence and insurance checks •Where applicable for those colleagues with cash option, and licence checks for company car drivers.
- Awareness and understanding of company health and safety commitments in order to support with promotion of best practice.
- Whilst working to attain the Cert CII the role holder will help to deliver compliance with all relevant areas of the insurance programme. GDPR, FCA and company internal policies and procedures whilst raising awareness of areas requiring improvement
- Be prepared to help and cope with work demands where needed, including adhoc duties when required.
- Continuously look to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and improvement in the Admin function
Key Skills:
- GCSE’s (or equivalent)
- Experience of working in a team
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexible and open to change
- Pro active and able to use initiative.
- Good working knowledge of Office 365 and web based operating systems.
- Confident and well organised.
- Keen to learn new skills in a challenging environment in order to gain the Cert CII qualification
- Self motivated, flexible and reliable and able to work from home or in the office when required.
- Literate and numerate.
- Time management skills- Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks effectively
- Time Management skills - Demonstrable ability to meet strict deadlines
- Communication skills - Excellent communication skills on Email or Verbally through Teams or telephone
