JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Insurance Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of health insurance claims and documentation. Key responsibilities include verifying patient insurance coverage, coordinating approvals and authorizations, liaising with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
  • Coordinate pre-authorizations and referrals as required by insurance providers.
  • Review and process insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim denials and discrepancies.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of patient insurance information and approvals.
  • Provide guidance and support to patients regarding their insurance coverage and benefits.
  • Stay updated on insurance policies, regulations, and billing codes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as billing and medical staff, to streamline processes.
