THE OPPORTUNITY
The Insurance Transformation team supports insurers and brokers during the complete lifecycle of their transformation projects - from ideation to implementation and maintenance. We are looking for experienced profiles that can take up the role of process engineer, business analyst, product owner or project/program manager.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. applied economics, commercial engineer, civil engineer, applied informatics…) or equivalent through experience.
- Professional experience (between 3 – 7 years), either in consulting or within an insurance company or broker firm.
- Knowledge of the Belgian insurance market.
- An understanding of how digital transformations – and the key applications and technology platforms that underpin this – are affecting the insurance industry.
- Excellent analytical skills, conceptual thinking and pragmatic approach.
- Outstanding client stakeholder management skills and ability to build relationships through solid communication and presentation skills.
- Native Dutch or French speaker, with an excellent knowledge of business English.
- Strong team spirit, balanced by a healthy sense of autonomy.
Responsibilities:
Within the Insurance Transformation team, you will collaborate with our clients to understand the challenges they are facing and help implement innovative solutions. You will also contribute to the continuous development of the team itself and EY as a whole.
As a transformation consultant in our insurance practice, you will:
- Support clients in the design and delivery of complex operational projects
- Contribute to the development of new solutions for the insurance sector
- Support in process improvements and look for efficiency gains
- Share your knowledge and experience
- Build a strong and international professional network
During transformation projects, you will be involved in the different phases of a project lifecycle:
- Gather detail requirements and process analysis (current state vs. future state);
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to find innovative solutions to their business challenges;
- Build business cases and conduct impact assessments of potential solutions;
- Present potential solutions with well-defined requirements and implementation roadmap to advise the client;
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders and deliver impactful presentations to keep them informed on the progress of the project.
