If we sound like a team you’d like to be a part of, and make a difference with, then we’d love to hear from you! We are looking for a qualified Marine Technologist (Hull/Combat/Mechanical/Electrical) for our Training department in our Dartmouth, NS office.

SKILL, CAPABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education Required: High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree, RQPO2 or QL6A qualification with Royal Canadian Navy
  • Years of Experience: 8+ years of Canadian Naval experience as a marine systems operator or maintainer
  • Proficient with maintenance and/or operator procedures and documentation
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to meet project deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Experience in naval training considered an asset but not required

Responsibilities:

  • Compare existing HFX class training with training required for Canadian Surface Combatant to support the identification of a training gap.
  • Analyze job tasks to make train/no train recommendations that support Training Needs/Training Media Analysis (TNA/TMA) used for the design and development of training materials.
  • Determine level of training required for CSC Platform Systems based on task analysis.
  • Support instructional analysis for training recommendations and recommendations of media to support training.
  • Advise on technical subject matter, including aspects of Platform Systems operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain quality assurance by ensuring the integrity, security, accuracy, and consistency of company and client information assets over their entire lifecycle.
  • Maintain a customer focus to ensure that requirements and expectations are delivered on time and to a high standard
  • Collaborate with Instructional Systems Designers to resolve content clarity, and support training recommendations within a predetermined requirement set.
