We have an opening for a Project Manager in our Kelowna office.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A FEW QUALIFICATIONS THAT WOULD HELP YOU SUCCEED:

  • Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma or Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized college or university.
  • PMP designation through PMI Institute.
  • Electrical distribution, substation, transmission, or street lighting design experience (both underground and overhead).
  • Experience in residential and commercial subdivision site servicing from participating in a utility turnkey program.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, ArcFM or AGI32 software packages.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall execution of underground/overhead electrical distribution and street lighting turnkey design-build projects (4kV to 25kV).
  • Accountable for the on-budget and on-schedule delivery of concurrent turnkey projects from client engagement through design and construction to energization while maintaining a high degree of quality.
  • Preparation of takeoffs, estimates, and proposals inclusive of engineering, materials procurement, and construction for turnkey projects.
  • Management of materials inventory.
  • Occasional off-site meetings, site visits, and field inspections.
  • Coordination with customers, municipal authorities, other utilities, and various project stakeholders for project execution.
  • Project schedule, cost and communication management, and reporting.
  • Proactively consult and develop solutions for clients to suit their business needs.
  • Clearly communicate with clients and project stakeholders to mitigate project risks and expectations.
  • Project acquisition, sales, and customer relationship building.
  • Peer mentoring and training with other team members.
  • Other duties as required.
