INTAKE ATTORNEY
At Matt Fendon Law Group (MFLG), we pride ourselves on providing unparalleled service to clients, so we are looking for a First Year Associate Attorney to help us maintain this high standard. As the newest addition to our team, the Intake Attorney will get extensive mentoring from the managing partner and the rest of the legal team to provide the new associate with structure, understanding of worker’s compensation law, mastering MFLG’s case management systems in order to ensure this candidate will grow, be successful and have a long and rewarding career with MFLG.
INTAKE ATTORNEY QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Excellent Telephone Etiquette
- Communication & Consultation Proficiency (Strong People Skills).
- Cultural Awareness.
- Relationship Management.
- Attention to Detail.
- Ethical Practice
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Juris Doctorate
- Admission to the State Bar of Arizona (Bar passage and waiting on admission considered as well)
- Proficiency with Document Review Software
- Working knowledge and competency with case management software is preferred.
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required

Responsibilities:
- Meeting and screening potential new clients.
- Covering depositions
- Covering hearings
- Opening new case files
- Gaining an understanding of Workman’s Compensation cases.
- Researching case-related factual issues using in-house files and outside reference sources
- Assisting other Lawyers as needed
- Reviewing medical records
