QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in social or behavioral science or a related field with two years of relevant work experience; a masters degree is preferred.
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Sound decision-making skills with a strong administrative, interpersonal, and marketing aptitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

The Intake Specialist supports Rawhide Operations by facilitating intake processes, promoting Rawhides service offerings, building relationships with key decision-makers, and contributing to program development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Facilitate communication with prospective clients.
  • Collect necessary intake information.
  • Collaborate with team members to determine appropriate placements.
  • Relay accurate information regarding programming.
  • Communicate Rawhides services to placing agencies, hospitals, families, and clinics.
  • Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers, including county human service agencies, Department of Corrections, public defenders, and judges.
  • Identify marketing and growth opportunities for program development.
  • Provide feedback for improving programming and services based on customer input and market trends.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain open lines of communication with county and state clients to facilitate intake processes.
  • Relay accurate and timely information regarding programming and placement options.
  • Promote Rawhides services through phone calls, written communication, conference participation, and other events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at various organizations, including county agencies, the Department of Corrections, and courts.
  • Support marketing efforts by identifying opportunities for growth and improvement in service offerings.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation for referrals, intakes, transfers, and other related activities.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by completing required trainings, attending educational workshops, and reviewing professional publications.
  • Establish personal networks by participating in professional societies.
  • Maintain staff job results by training and coaching support staff, establishing staff goals, monitoring progress, providing feedback, and appraising job results.
  • Protect the credibility of the Rawhide mission by complying with the Rawhide standard of conduct and setting an example, in words and actions, that is consistent with the values and beliefs of Rawhide.
  • Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as directed or assigned by the supervisor.
