Description:
The post is a 12 months maternity cover opportunity to provide senior clinical leadership to a the South East London Integrated Community Pathway Service (ICPS). This includes responsibility for the provision of a specialist psychological service to the multi-disciplinary team and to People on Probation screened onto the Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway and the probation offices responsible for managing their period on licence and risk in the community.
The ICPS is a multidisciplinary, cross agency team working with People on Probation who experience personality difficulties and pose a high risk of harm to others. The ICPS service is comprised of a direct work stream, the Intensive Intervention and Risk Management Service (IIRMS) which provides comprehensive and holistic assessment, formulation and treatment informed by best practice and literature.
The ICPS also provides an indirect stream which offers specialist psychology service offering consultation and support to the National Probation Service (London Division), within South East London and more widely across London including in approved premises and in pre-release planning.
The post holder would be expected to work autonomously within professional guidelines and in line with local policies and procedures, and the department’s objectives, to contribute directly to workforce development through staff consultation and supervision and the provision of training to a range of staff including partner agencies and allied professionals and to utilise research and audit skill for the ongoing evaluation and development of OPD services.
