Position Overview
As IOC General Supervisor, you will be responsible for implementing and continuously improving the Integrated Planning & Operations functions of New Afton’s Integrated Operations Centre (IOC).
Key Responsibilities
Execute the organizational change management strategy to implement the Integrated Planning & Operations business transformation.
Lead the Integrated Planning & Scheduling functions – ensuring that the team effectively plans and schedules all underground mine and maintenance activities in SAP and Deswik.OPS, managing shared resources (people, equipment and materials) and constraints to achieve the long-range Mine Plan.
Lead the Integrated Maintenance function – ensuring that the team effectively maintains the critical assets, communication and charging infrastructure for reliable operation of the Autonomous and Mixed BEV underground production fleet.
Support the Integrated Operations function – encompassing Autonomous Production, Mine Control and Mine Process Control, ensuring that the integrated shift schedule is achieved with zero harm.
Track OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to measure the performance outcomes of the Integrated Planning & Operations functions and how they drive business value.
Recruit, train and develop employees and supervisors. Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional development and promoting a positive work environment. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Work in collaboration with the Innovation and Technology Team to:
Ensure critical Information, Communications and Operational Technology & Software (SAP S/4HANA, Deswik.OPS, Sandvik AutoMine Fleet, Newtrax MDP, ORB, Location Awareness) is successfully implemented, reliable and functional.
Continuously improve the Management Operating System (MOS) for Integrated Planning & Operations.
Develop the operational data management strategy, equipment and operational Time Usage Model (TUM), and to perform data analysis to understand plan variance and improve performance outcomes.
Serve as the key representative bridging Mining, Maintenance and Supply Chain departments.
Effectively manage change associated with people, process and technology.
