Job Description Summary
Join us as the Integrated Talent Management Lead for our Business & Commercial Banking, Corporate & Institutional Banking and Insurance, Pensions & Investments business units, where you’ll play a crucial role in driving talent strategies alongside HR Directors, with a mission to weave a compelling story about our total talent proposition. Job Description

Key accountabilities:

  • Act as the bridge to the Centre of Expertise and primary contact for Talent Management activity, connecting across teams for talent nominations, calibration & mobility.
  • Ensure alongside People Partners that the business understands the E2E Talent proposition including how to identify & calibrate those with potential for accelerated development, as well as developing plans to enable all our people to navigate their careers with the Group.
  • Support People Partners to identify key roles in their business areas for local talent management activity including accelerated career development as part of strategic talent cohorts.
  • Oversee the nomination and calibration processes for talent processes and activity for non-Executive colleagues, for optimal talent progression.
  • Facilitate the implementation of the talent management strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals and addressing specific needs of different business areas, aligned to the demand plans of our business.
  • Drive a culture of career development and skills mobility, crafting and delivering talent management solutions that align with business area needs.
  • Track and support the progress of colleagues identified for accelerated career development.
  • Deeply understand the talent, strategic workforce plan and capability required within your aligned business area, recognising individual strengths and potential, encouraging the growth and integration of all talent pipelines, including youth.
  • Partner with senior leaders and People Partnering teams to close skills gaps across archetypes, building robust succession pools and strategic talent cohorts to ensure a pipeline of future leaders.
  • Partner with Platform teams to ensure we have state-of-the-art technology supporting our talent management and acquisition strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Culture & Leadership team to craft and implement cohort development programmes that improve our talent capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team to encourage leaders to embrace and promote our dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion, aligned to divisional needs.
  • Showcase talent success metrics and insight data to promote continuous improvement of our talent processes.
  • Infuse fresh, external perspectives into our talent management and acquisition approach, being well networked based on your business area to enable benchmarking.
  • Optimise our processes to ensure we maintain diverse pipelines, improving candidate experience and efficiencies.
  • Ensure all external and internal talent acquisition hires align to the skills and capability gaps of the organisation, while raising the bar on every hire, highlighting key performance issues, achieving representation that accurately reflects the external market, aligning to our demand plan and mitigating any risks.
  • With People Partners, be a connector for new colleagues to provide a phenomenal onboarding experience.

Key capabilities, skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Demonstrable or proven track record of delivering innovative talent management solutions in large, complex organisations.
  • Passion for talent management, development and acquisition with an understanding of aspirations through your extensive external networks.
  • Knowledge of the skills market and how to build talent pipelines and future succession pools at a global level.
  • Outstanding collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
  • A curiosity about data! You don’t need to be a data wiz, but analytical skills are key, and storytelling is a must.
  • Dedicated, adept at managing multiple priorities while staying focused on objectives, and able to navigate seamlessly between the strategic and hands-on nature of the role.
  • Resilient and adaptable, capable of delivering results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the business units you’ll partner - Business & Commercial Banking, Corporate & Institutional Banking and Insurance, Pensions & Investment.
