JOB DESCRIPTION
As an Intelligence Unit Caseworker, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to directorates and teams within Intelligence Unit Area Office (DVSA Enforcement, Operations, Regional intelligence Officers).
One the key responsibilities for the Caseworker will be to analyse and distribute intelligence and other information, which will enable the organisation to focus their resources on areas such as non-compliant goods and public service vehicle operators (both UK and non-UK), MOT schemes and any information received regarding ADI misconduct and driving or theory test fraud.
Further responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Developing and delivering appropriate intelligence products in a timely manner to support the Targeting and Coordination process.
- Where necessary, disseminating intelligence products to external customers/partners/agencies.
- Preparing and dispatching letters to the public and operators in respect of illegal operation of good and passenger vehicles and the unauthorised parking of goods vehicles.
- Recording outcomes from intelligence cases sent to Areas to complete the intelligence cycle.
- Carrying out background checks on applications for new Goods and Passenger vehicle operator licences.
- Providing outcomes of background checks to Operator Licensing within the agreed service level agreement.
- Supporting the Intelligence Unit Team Leader by providing analysis of DVSA data to inform decisions on variation applications.
- Engaging with Enforcement Directorate, and Operations colleagues at all levels, regarding intelligence led case work.
- Working with Traffic Commissioners, Licensing and Office of Traffic Commissioner staff to support the delivery of licensing and compliance activities.
- Where necessary, working with other government departments, the police and industry partners to facilitate the exchange of information and intelligence.
