THE OPPORTUNITY
We now seeking an Interconnector Commercial Specialist to join our Interconnection team.
As Interconnector Commercial Specialist, you will advance the financial and commercial workstreams for the optimal use of the HVDC assets linking the all-island Single Electricity Market with neighbouring markets across Great Britain and Europe. This will include management of large programmes of work, participating at internal and external project boards and coordinating a number of resources and activities across multiple jurisdictions. In this role you will lead the development of associated operational policies and procedures, risk mitigations and reporting as well as play a key role in driving the technical inputs to arrangements for the expanding portfolio of regulated and commercial interconnectors connected to the Irish power system.
We will look to you to work with the key strategic stakeholders across the organisation to ensure all relevant financial, commercial, legal and regulatory aspects for system and market operations are in place for the connection and operation of HVDC interconnectors.
You will be responsible for managing the identification and continuous improvement of financial and commercial operational requirements, processes, procedures and systems for a growing portfolio of interconnectors.
The ability to develop strong business cases to demonstrate the compelling arguments, both operational and techno-economic, to support and deliver such opportunities in line with the relevant governance and control frameworks will be key to success in the role.
