As a Cost Control Analyst, you’ll be the go-to person for the UJV Operations budgeting and cost control processes. Ensuring each teams knowledge of their costs, budgets and financial forecasts are fully understood. Working with a variety of stakeholders, you will be responsible for:

Cost Monitoring and Analysis: Track and analyse costs associated with contracts, ensuring alignment with budgets and forecasts. Identify variances and provide insights for corrective actions.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive cost reports for budget holders, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and management of contract budgets, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior management, finance team, and other stakeholders to ensure effective cost management practices. Provide support to Contract Analysts and Contract Managers to ensure contracts remain within governance.
- Forecasting: Develop financial forecasts and models to predict future costs, using historical data.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements within cost management practices and implement best practices.
You’ll be flexible to travelling to our UK Interconnector sites once a month, allowing you to build relationships with colleagues in Operations.
We’d hope to see you in the Warwick office two days per week and you’re welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you. We’re happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!
ABOUT YOU
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in financial modelling and data analysis tools e.g., Excel, Power BI (desirable).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational abilities.
- An understanding of contract law is desirable.
