The Associate Dean (AD), Diagnostics & Allied Health provides day to day operational management of diagnostic and allied health program areas in consultation with the Dean of Health Sciences. The AD ensures that the School’s strategic plan is translated and brought to life in the day-to-day operations of the diagnostic and allied health program areas and within the overall mission and goals of the College. Connecting the diagnostic and allied health program areas to the School’s strategic plan, the AD’s role is primarily internal facing. The AD provides advocacy and representation of the diagnostic and allied health program areas in the development of the School’s strategic plan. The AD works closely with coordinators, faculty and staff to translate the School’s strategic initiatives into operational plans to be implemented in the individual diagnostic and allied health program areas.
The AD, Diagnostics & Allied Health works consultatively with the Dean of Health Sciences in the strategic planning process, formulating and implementing the vision for the school. As directed, the AD, Diagnostics & Allied Health may be assigned to special projects and may be asked to represent the Dean on internal councils and in external facing activities. Through consultation with the Dean of the School of Health Sciences, the AD, Diagnostics and Allied Health is primarily responsible for the effective management of the diagnostic and allied health programs assigned within the School’s responsibilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, planning, organizing, staffing, and managing resources for diagnostics and allied health in the School of Health Sciences. The AD, Diagnostics & Allied Health provides a perspective and analysis of academic and educational requirements for the diagnostic and allied health programs to the Dean of the School of Health Sciences.
