Description:
FIXED TERM CONTRACT UNTIL APRIL 2026 (21 HRS PER WEEK)
Are you passionate about governance, legal compliance and commercial contracts? We’re seeking an Interim Paralegal to join our dynamic Legal Team and help us put pharmacy at the forefront of patient care!
As a paralegal, you’ll be supporting delivery of legal and governance work within RPS, mainly in the fields of corporate, governance and commercial contracts. We envisage the successful applicant will be a flexible paralegal with some experience across corporate, governance and commercial contracts but will consider applications from governance specialists who can demonstrate a flexible mindset to support the legal team in commercial contract management as well as governance work.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Law degree or equivalent. (SQE candidates are welcome to apply. However, this is a fixed term position as advertised, without any possibility of an NQ role). Candidates without a law degree with strong knowledge and experience of governance and company secretarial requirements are encouraged to apply as the role requirements could be flexible.
- Strong knowledge of the Companies Act 2006 and contract law. Knowledge of the system of regulation of Royal Charter bodies and charities would be useful. Some understanding of copyright law and licensing models would also be useful.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including excellent grammar and high levels of attention to detail in all areas.
- Ability to work independently and in particular to write and edit to deadline without supervision.
- Ability to work to inflexible governance deadlines and to deal with changing and multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure.
- Experience working with Boards, Trustees, Executive teams and members.
- Ability to influence and persuade people at all levels and build and manage relationships with ease, tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to identify confidential and politically sensitive issues and to deal with them appropriately.
- Flexibility and adaptability – our governance transition project will change its requirements from the legal and governance team during the contract term.
- Proven IT skills in MS Office and Microsoft Team
️ CLOSING DATE: 8 FEBRUARY 2025
