Description:

Brandt Developments Ltd. has a position available for an Intermediate to Senior Interior Designer registered in Saskatchewan. This position is based in our Regina location, and is responsible for providing support to the design team and assisting with contract administration and system drawings.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and delivery of projects including presentations, contract drawings, interior detailing
  • Prepare contract drawings, specifications, schedules, details, and sketches from conceptual design through to construction, for both various new buildings and renovations
  • Prepare interior concept renderings, along with Revit/AutoCAD drawings for interior design layouts
  • Liaise with clients, authorities & contractors as required
  • Preparation of cost estimates, tender contract documents and reports
  • Perform the contract administration duties on the projects including attending meetings, travel as required, submittal reviews, supplemental instructions, price requests, site inspection reports, meeting minutes, and all other aspects of the project
  • Coordination of interior aspects in furniture, millwork, flooring, etc.
  • Coordinate and follow up with project issues
  • Review, evaluate, and improve upon interior design & drafting standards and specifications
  • Setting and shifting priorities to meet expected goals, while exercising discretionary decision making within Brandt guidelines
  • Support the Building Design Team as required, including collaboration with internal multi-disciplinary team (including Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical & Civil), and assisting with other discipline tasks as required to ensure project success
  • Project cost monitoring and schedule control as requested
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Candidates will be required to work on multiple projects and collaborate with a team of Engineers, Architects, and Technologists
  • Creative problem solver, willing to work both independently and within an inter-disciplinary team environment being a collaborative team-player
  • Enthusiastic individual with strong work ethic, and strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with AutoDESK Revit and AutoCAD is required

Required Experience

  • Registered Interior Designer with Provincial Association
  • Preference will be given to those with 5+ years’ experience in a Consulting office or private company, with experience in design development, detailed design, design coordination, and contract admin construction services
