POSITION OVERVIEW
The Intermediate Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, assisting with month-end closing, reconciling accounts, and supporting various accounting functions. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation (or working toward CPA) is preferred.
- 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in an industry setting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, NetSuite, or similar).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist managing entities with full cycle accounting.
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Prepare and process journal entries, accruals.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy in financial statements.
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed.
- Prepare financial reports, variance analyses, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors during audits.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
