Intermediate Accountant

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant in the HVAC and plumbing industry, based in Wilmington, Delaware area. The role involves a variety of accounting responsibilities, with a focus on month-end activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and financial planning. This role is suited for an organized individual with strong accounting skills, ready to contribute to a rapidly growing team.

• Conduct month-end closing activities and assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Prepare regular reports on Key Performance Indicators.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
• Support the budget preparation, financial planning, and forecasting processes.
• Coordinate with the bookkeeping team to record payables and receivables.
• Prepare and process necessary journal entries as part of the accounting cycle.
• Provide assistance to other teams and engage in other duties as required to support the overall business operations.
• Leverage knowledge of QuickBooks and NetSuite to perform accounting tasks efficiently.
• Contribute to the general hands-on accounting experience with a focus on construction accounting, including project cost tracking and cost-to-cost adjustments.
• Must possess a minimum of three years of experience in Accounting or related field
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Demonstrable experience in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with maintaining and updating the General Ledger
• Experience in recording and managing Journal Entries
• Proficient in managing Month End Close processes
• Working knowledge of NetSuite software for accounting purposes
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial management and operations
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
