Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

The ideal applicant will have excellent communication skills and work with team members throughout all processes of the project phases. As an Architectural Technologist, you will be working with the design director and clients to discuss project designs and work according to these discussions to produce high quality design/zoning/working drawing packages, construction documents, and details. You will use your experience to do mark-ups and changes to ensure projects are finished accurately and in a timely manner. This position will have you working on a range of impressive design projects including custom homes, renovation/additions, laneway suites, garden suites, and more. Some contract administration work will also be undertaken with support from senior staff.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have the following credentials;

  • Architectural Technology Diploma/Certification or related degree from an accredited Canadian Institution
  • Between 3 and 5 years experience as an Architectural Technologist in a professional setting in Ontario, Canada
  • Be currently living and able to work permanently near Toronto, Ontario, Canada
  • Experience working with Revit is essential; knowledge of phases is an asset
  • Experience working with AutoCAD, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Docs/Sheets/etc. is an asset
  • Some Project Management experience is desirable
  • Experience working on residential design and similar projects with a focus on wood-frame construction
  • Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, municipal zoning by-laws, committee of adjustment, and conservation authorities
  • Excellent communication skills, desire to learn and grow
  • G license and access to reliable vehicle for on-site meetings
