JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled Intermediate Controls Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, programming, and troubleshooting control systems, as well as a deep understanding of PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial automation. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing control strategies for automation systems, collaborating with engineers and clients, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree/diploma in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, Control Systems, Electronics, Robotics & Automation or similar programs
  • 5+ years of experience in controls programming and automation systems design.
  • Intermediate knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, Omron, etc.).
  • Proficiency in HMI/SCADA programming (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, FactoryTalk, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of control theory and industrial automation systems.
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, OPC, Profibus, etc.).
  • Familiarity with control system architecture and design best practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex control system issues.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with robotic systems or motion control.
  • Knowledge of safety systems and standards.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and lead technical discussions.

Responsibilities:

  • Control Systems Design & Development: Design, develop, and program control systems for automation applications across various platforms (PLC/HMI/SCADA/Robot/Motion).
  • System Integration: Integrate control systems with third-party equipment and software, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
  • Troubleshooting & Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize control systems to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, provide technical advice, and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Develop and maintain detailed system documentation, including programming manuals, wiring diagrams, and testing reports.
