INTERMEDIATE DATA EXCHANGE DEVELOPER
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Intermediate Data Exchange Developer to join our dynamic team at Journal Technologies. Develop custom software data exchanges using a combination of Java and Groovy by working within a client focused team. This role is primarily responsible for designing, developing and testing data exchanges for our enterprise case management product.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of professional, full-time development experience using an object-oriented programming language and model
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming design patterns
- Able to independently troubleshoot problems, find root issues, and develop one or more approaches to solving problems
- Able to follow, adopt, recommend, and promote development standards
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills suited for technical audiences, peers and clients
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Java and Groovy experience
- Knowledge of interfacing with REST and SOAP APIs
- Knowledge of Windows Server-based environments and networks
- Experience with querying relational databases, preferably TSQL or PL/SQL
- SCRUM or Agile development methodologies

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and test software data exchanges
- Maintain, and improve the performance of existing data exchanges
- Review, and provide feedback on development requirements to business analysts
- Recommend enhancements to existing processes to achieve continuous improvement
- Develop software solutions with an agile mindset
- Interface with clients as required via electronic communication
