Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join our New Brunswick team! The successful candidate will have the ability to work out of any one of our three offices located in Saint John, Moncton, or Fredericton.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for various projects across our buildings, municipal and industrial market sectors. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects and project managers to ensure that our electrical designs are efficient, safe, and meet client expectations. This role requires a strong background in electrical engineering, a passion for innovation, and a commitment to sustainability.

Specifically, you will:

  • Design and prepare contract documents for electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems;
  • Coordinate design support staff across multiple disciplines;
  • Manage projects to meet budget and deliverables;
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and clients;
  • Provide input into construction cost estimates;
  • Perform construction administration and field reviews;
  • Conduct document development, planning, and/or execution of commissioning and start-up activities;
  • Participate in energy efficiency and renewable energy studies;
  • Prepare technical RFQ documents, technical review of bid submissions, and review of vendor documentation following award;
  • Coordinate and work with project team members in various branch offices or project sites in Canada and abroad;
  • Assure that all work on assigned projects is timely, within budget, accurate, and in-line with corporate and/or project specific quality and safety objectives;

VALUED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with healthcare and/or sustainable design projects;
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit;
  • Experience with AGi32 and/or ElumTools lighting simulation software would be an asset;
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Valid driver’s license and be able to travel to job sites within Atlantic Canada.
