QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must provide copy of a degree from a recognized university in engineering. Must provide copies of appropriate documentation of educational degree, diploma, or other verifiable proof
  • Must have a minimum of 36 months (3 years) experience in the past 72 months (6 years) applying civil or military airworthiness regulations enforced in North America, such as the DND Technical Airworthiness Manual, Federal Aviation Administration regulations or Transport Canada regulations
  • Must have demonstrated relevant experience as Project Officer in the past 60 months (5 years) in Aviation Rotary wing
  • Must have demonstrated a minimum of 36 months (3 years) of experience within the past 60 months (5 years) in aerospace engineering analysis, aerospace engineering projects and the development and evaluation of aerospace related documents for a minimum of two (2) of the following three (3) avionic systems:
  • Must have demonstrated experience in the past 60 months(5 years) applying to project management documents for a minimum of three (3) of the following five (5) sub-criteria:
  • Must have demonstrated experience in the past 60 months (5 years) applying military airworthiness regulations for all those sub-criteria:
  • Must have demonstrated experience in the past sixty (60) months applying to project management documents for all sub-criteria:

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and conduct engineering, technical and project management activities associated with CH146 avionic systems and related projects, especially in communication, identification system designed for command and control, and Crypto Modernization Project. Includes overseeing aspects of design, acquisition, installation, test and evaluation, certification, life cycle management and integrated logistic support;
  • Provide project management support for assigned projects. The focus will be maintaining project scope by ensuring optimization of project schedules, technical performance and standards compliance;
  • Track and report project management issues, such as status of projects, general issues, risks, problems and their disposition, and lessons learned;
  • Advise the Technical Authority (TA) on technical Airworthiness policies, DND project management activities and procedures, DGAEPM AF9000+ procedures, contracting aspects, financial budgets and airworthiness DND policies;
  • Prepare the budgetary forecasts associated with assigned projects;
  • Manage and coordinate projects:
  • Any other project management activities associated with the Task and Solutions Professional Services (TSPS) category of Engineering Graduate.
