QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical Diploma or University Degree from accredited institution, plus appropriate continuing education.
  • 5+ years of practical field-based experience.
  • Experience in either the oil and gas industry or mining is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team setting.
  • Class 5 driver’s license.

The qualified individual will support all business for the Cold Lake, AB office. Preference will be given to applicants based or willing to relocate to Cold Lake, however this position can be executed out of our Edmonton or Calgary office with occasional travel to Cold Lake.

  • Prepare, follow, and promote site-specific health, safety, and sustainability plans to mitigate or eliminate risks to you, our people and clients and the public.
  • Lead and coordinate daily field activities and programs.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching and training to new hires and team members.
  • Completion of Phase 1 and 2 environmental site assessments.
  • Lead groundwater and surface water monitoring programs.
  • Lead drilling, borehole logging and monitoring well installations.
  • Lead remedial excavation programs.
  • Assist Project Managers in all aspects of project execution.
  • Assist project team in the communication, management and cost control associated with various programs.
  • Prepare technical reports
