Profession: Intermediate Environmental Scientist- Level 1
Our team is seeking an experienced Intermediate Environmental Scientist in Alberta who is a self-starter and has demonstrated success in conducting assessment, remediation and/or reclamation services to various clients . We are looking for a team player that has a keen enthusiasm for the environment and land industry. The successful candidate will immediately participate in the environmental Site Assessment and Reclamation on new projects, as well as provide support on current Evolve work.
Responsibilities:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for leading and conducting assessment, remediation and/or reclamation services for clients, as determined by the Site Assessment and Reclamation Manager. This role will be responsible to supervise and support Junior Environmental Scientists.
Organizes, conducts, supervises, and reports on environmental projects, including but not limited to, Site Assessments; sampling of project areas; reclamation, and conveys results to appropriate internal and external project stakeholders. Works in compliance with established organization Health and Safety protocols and relevant Environmental Regulations and Legislation.
III. OTHER ASSIGNMENTS, PROJECTS, AND DUTIES AS REQUIRED:
- Clarifies and ensures project requirements and timelines are met by participating in regular team meetings and discussions.
- Communicates with clients and contractors, and supervises on-site contractors as required.
- Supports overall team objectives by assisting with other environmental service line projects as required.
