Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Scientist to join our Assessment, Social, and Ecology line in the Yukon office.
Responsibilities:
In your role, you will have the opportunity to take on a wide variety of tasks. Some examples are:
- Designing and leading biological surveys, conducting habitat assessments, environmental compliance monitoring, and environmental permitting.
- Data collection, management, interpretation, and technical reporting.
- Supporting the development of scopes of work and budgets for proposals.
- Designing and implementing terrestrial and aquatic habitat mitigation and offsetting measures.
- Contributing to the compilation and writing of regulatory submissions.
- Contributing to the development of environmental assessment reports and supporting project teams during all stages of a project life cycle, including planning and feasibility studies, EIA, and post-EIA permitting and compliance.
- Managing and tracking communication processes between proponents, environmental teams, and regulatory agencies.
- Liaising with regulatory agencies and Indigenous peoples.
- Mentoring junior staff.
- Providing and receiving constructive feedback on the work of others and yourself.
- Adhering to health and safety plans and quality processes on all work, projects, and reports.
