REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant experience required in at least 2 of the following specialisms
  • – Infrastructure/Network Security Policies and Procedures
  • – SQL and/or scripting in PowerShell or Python with emphasis on API methods
  • – Vulnerability Testing
  • – Cloud infrastructure with emphasis on AWS services
  • Linux and/or Mac OS
  • Basic understanding across the entire spectrum of Infrastructure services provided by GTS including their delivery and support mechanisms (ITIL disciplines).
  • Basic understanding of computing systems architecture, programming, networking, storage and operating system principles, and ideally on large-scale systems operations and procedures.
  • Installation, maintenance and configuration skills of hardware and software associated with typical IT infrastructure.
  • Problem resolution skills from root cause to resolution.
  • Demonstrated skills in both verbal and written communication to be able to convey complex topics to GTS customers and stakeholders.
  • Testing skills including analysis and documentation of test scripts.
  • Acquire understanding of a problem or situation by breaking it down systematically into its component parts and identifying the relationships.
  • Meet targets and fulfill agreements even when adverse circumstances prevail.
  • Apply relevant quality standards to all tasks undertaken.

Responsibilities:

  • Participating in delivery of new technologies as a team participant or leader in small projects, specifically infrastructure vulnerability scanning and reporting.
  • Collecting and analyzing requirements to develop technology strategies.
  • Facilitating, documenting, and implementing standards.
  • Providing consulting advice and guidance to customers and other GTS teams in their area of technical expertise.
  • Escalation point involving potential troubleshooting and problem resolution assistance.
