Description:
We currently have an opportunity for an Intermediate Interior Designer to join our Surrey office. Under the guidance of the Interior Design Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating on and leading interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design and design development
- Developing space planning concepts and generating program documents
- Participating in selection of furniture systems and specifications
- Providing project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
- Working with clients, consultants and contractors to meet overall project objectives on schedule and within budget
- Participating in the construction administration of projects and reviewing of submittals and finish samples
- Assisting in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
- Contributing to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
What you need to be successful in the role:
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design from an accredited university
- 5+ years’ relevant experience in Canada, preferably in an architectural firm
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Sketch-up is required
- Strong graphic presentation skills in Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with Bluebeam, Lumion and/or Enscape would be an asset
- Solid communication skills for a collaborative team-based working environment
- Registration with, or working towards becoming a Registered Interior Designer (RID)
