Description:

We currently have an opportunity for an Intermediate Interior Designer to join our Surrey office. Under the guidance of the Interior Design Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating on and leading interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design and design development
  • Developing space planning concepts and generating program documents
  • Participating in selection of furniture systems and specifications
  • Providing project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
  • Working with clients, consultants and contractors to meet overall project objectives on schedule and within budget
  • Participating in the construction administration of projects and reviewing of submittals and finish samples
  • Assisting in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
  • Contributing to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs

What you need to be successful in the role:

  • Degree or diploma in Interior Design from an accredited university
  • 5+ years’ relevant experience in Canada, preferably in an architectural firm
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Sketch-up is required
  • Strong graphic presentation skills in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Lumion and/or Enscape would be an asset
  • Solid communication skills for a collaborative team-based working environment
  • Registration with, or working towards becoming a Registered Interior Designer (RID)
