Description:
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Ainley Group is currently seeking an experienced Junior, Intermediate or Senior Water Modeller to join our Collingwood or Mississauga office. As a successful candidate with 3 to 15 years of modelling experience, you join our team responsible for undertaking the building and maintenance of computer hydraulic water and wastewater models for municipal and private sector clients.
The modelling assignments will be integral to various types of projects including Master Plans, Municipal Class Environmental Assessments, Secondary Plans and System Capacity Assessments. The types of projects may include Hydraulic Modelling (Water & Wastewater, primarily), Hydraulic Transient (Surge) Analysis, Servicing Needs Assessments, GIS Data Review, Development Engineering Support, Detailed Design Support (Pumping Stations and Linear Works), Integration with our SCADA team, and Asset Management planning.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario or a member in good standing with the Ontario Association of certified Engineering Technicians and Technologist (OACETT). Working towards either of these designations will be considered.
- Three to fifteen years of experience.
- Client focused with a strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.
- Working knowledge of computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and modelling software WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWorks ICM, InfoWater, InfoSewer
- Fluent in all Microsoft Office software programs; AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience would be an asset.
- 2-D modelling expertise (dual-drainage systems) is an asset.
- ESRI ArcGIS expertise.
- Excellent knowledge of municipal infrastructure design and construction principles and standards.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Creative and innovative thinker with sound technical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Superior analytical, decision-making.
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
