We are currently recruiting for a Intermediate to Senior Mechanical Layout Designer to support our projects in our Burlington/Toronto offices. We are looking for someone with passion and drive, who is highly organized and can ensure that our high standard of quality is maintained. With varied engineering, procurement and construction options, your skilled guidance in influencing project plan execution is crucial to the delivery of sustainable and successful outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare mechanical layouts: conceptual and detail drawings in line with project requirements.
  • Development of mechanical layouts in 2D and 3D environments.
  • Produce layout relevant deliverables such as design criteria, design drawings and reports.
  • Deliver design drawings according to project-specific design criteria as well as the defined regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects by communicating expectations and holding project members to account for standards.
  • Adhere to budgeted hours and adjust level of detail or deliverables to suit.
  • Support proposal managers in providing input into the proposal and estimates.
  • Facilitate and ensure interdisciplinary co-ordination when developing the model.
  • Comply with all of Ausenco corporate policies and procedures by adopting Ausenco Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies, procedures and requirements.
