JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Coding & Robotics Teacher to join our dynamic teaching team. The successful candidate will inspire learners to develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and technological proficiency through hands-on experiences in coding and robotics. You will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lessons, utilizing modern technology, and contributing to our innovative approach to education.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field (specialization in technology, computer science, or engineering preferred).
  • Previous teaching experience in Coding & Robotics, or related subjects.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Scratch, or relevant coding platforms).
  • Familiarity with educational robotics tools such as LEGO Mindstorms, VEX Robotics, etc.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage learners of varying skill levels.
  • A passion for STEM education and a commitment to fostering innovation and creativity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • A commitment to the school’s Christ-centered values and ethos.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver lessons in Coding & Robotics for learners across various grades (Foundation Phase through Intermediate Phase).
  • Teach programming languages, robotics engineering, and computational thinking in a practical, engaging manner.
  • Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.
  • Integrate Inquiry-based learning strategies into Coding & Robotics projects.
  • Prepare learners for future careers by teaching essential technological skills.
  • Evaluate and assess learner progress, providing feedback and support where needed.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to align Coding & Robotics instruction with the overall school curriculum.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends in educational technology and innovation.
  • Organize and supervise Coding & Robotics clubs, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
