Description:

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be a key member of a motivated team.
- Provide high quality legal advice and representation to clients and to assist them to resolve their legal problems
- Work closely with the Managing Solicitor with a range of duties including the oversee of the office
- Supervise and mentor junior solicitors and assist them in the development of their advocacy skills
Each day, you can expect to:
- Assist the Managing Solicitor in the day-to-day operation of the office
- Prepare and run complex ACT Magistrates Court, NSW Local Court and Children’s Court hearings and sentence matters
- Assist with the management of the overall practice
- Prepare briefs for counsel and attend to instructing counsel as directed
- Oversee the allocation of work and management of workloads
- Assist in the preparation of District Court short matters allocated to junior solicitors with permission to appear
