Description:

[What the role is]
The intern will work with the corporate communications team to develop multimedia content that increases awareness of Tote Board’s grantmaking efforts. He/She will play an active role in conceptualising and bringing these ideas to life on Tote Board’s digital channels. In sourcing and curating these content, he/she will engage and interact with internal and external stakeholders from all levels, with the aim of enhancing awareness of Tote Board’s grantmaking work and its role in the philanthropic sector.
[What you will be working on]

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The intern will be required to:

  • Curate inspirational stories for external audiences and propose ways to present them in today’s dynamic communications landscape
  • Work closely with agencies to produce videos focusing on the impact of Tote Board’s grants.
  • Assist the communications team in the launch phase of TikTok, as well as conceptualise channel and target audience specific content
  • Work closely with the social media/ TikTok creative agencies, grant beneficiaries and staff to curate engaging content that inspires a caring and resilient community
  • Explore new ideas and channels of communication that outreach to a wider/younger target audience
  • Support the team in the implementing a staff brand ambassadorship programme internally
  • Support the team in other communications-related tasks if the need arises

[What we are looking for]

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A self-starter who is passionate about branding, communications, and new media
  • A storyteller with strong communication and creative writing skills
  • Ability to research, engage external stakeholders and communicate effectively
  • Experience in digital content creation and production work would be an advantage
  • Possess an ability to think out of the box for new ideas and is enthusiastic about implementing them
  • Available for a minimum of three months
  • Preferred profile of Interns: Year 2 or 3, Communications Studies, New Media, Business or Marketing students
