Position Overview:
We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and capable intern to join our Manufacturing Operations Excellence and Sustainability team in Dubai for a six-month internship. This position is perfect for a recent graduate eager to dive into the world of manufacturing, operational excellence, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will possess a strong grasp of Lean Six Sigma operational excellence, Industry 4.0 innovations, ERP automation, and continuous improvement methodologies. This internship offers a unique chance to engage in meaningful projects, acquire practical experience, and make a significant impact on our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aid in the deployment of Lean Six Sigma operational excellence strategies.
- Facilitate the adoption of machine learning and IoT technologies within our Industry 4.0 framework to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Engage in ERP automation projects to streamline operations.
- Utilize Lean methodology and continuous improvement practices to optimize operational performance.
- Participate in sustainability initiatives to promote eco-friendly manufacturing processes.
- Draft value stream mapping to analyse and improve the flow of materials and information.
- Develop presentations on project progress and insights.
- Work collaboratively with various teams to support operational and sustainability objectives.
SKILLS
- Recent graduate in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Solid understanding of Linz Sigma operational excellence principles, Lean methodologies, and Industry 4.0 applications.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and automation tools.
- Familiarity with value stream mapping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Must hold a valid driving license, as the role may involve travel for site visits and project-related tasks.
- A proactive learner with a strong interest in continuous improvement and environmental sustainability within the manufacturing sector.
