TÄTIGKEITSBEREICH

The demands on companies and their business partners to respect human rights and environmental standards along their supply chains are increasing. To support partner countries in effectively implementing the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), the European Commission and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) have launched the Team Europe Initiative (TEI) ‘Sustainability in Global Value Chains’. The sector project ‘Corporate and Public Responsibility for Sustainable Supply Chains’ (SV UNÖV) operates the TEI secretariat and coordinates the support measures of the EU and its member states. The TEI secretariat is responsible to set up the website and advisory services of the ‘EU Helpdesk’: stakeholders from partner countries receive free, individualized advice and recommendations for suitable support measures from experts at the EU Helpdesk. The expertise in corporate and environmental due diligence and collaboration with actors in partner countries will be used to advise them on how to become ‘fit for the CSDDD’ and for related EU sustainability regulations.
We are looking for an intern (m/f/d) for the EU helpdesk and the TEI secretariat supporting the development of the Helpdesk and the coordination of the TEI.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptual and content-related support in the development of the TEI ‘Sustainability in Global Value Chains’ with international cooperation partners
  • Technical and administrative support in setting up the Helpdesk and in collecting and processing EU-wide support measures for the implementation of human rights and environmental due diligence requirements
  • Independently creating drafts of advisory and communication products to promote the helpdesk to cooperation partners and the helpdesk’s target groups
  • Supporting the organisation of meetings and conferences
  • Participation in and documentation of events and meetings with national and international cooperation partner
