We are seeking an Intern to join the Model Risk Oversight international team to support our projects.
An internship with us offers significant opportunities to gain valuable insights into key aspects of model risk management, the life cycle of models, and typical multidimensional model inventories, along with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges associated with this type of data collection and reporting.

We are looking for you, if you:

  • have a quantitative degree and are interested in Data Analytics,
  • would like to develop in a Risk professional with hands-on Risk Reporting experience in SAS MRM tool, Python coding or equivalent custom tools/products,
  • are interested in report design and execution, automation experience in Python/VBA, quantitative analysis,
  • are ready for, well equipped with communication/ presentation skills and willing to communicate with senior stakeholders,
  • are a good listener and interviewer, receptive to the feedback from the stakeholders,
  • are results-oriented, committed to high standards and quality of work,
  • have an excellent English verbal and writing skills,
  • are prepared to travel occasionally,
  • have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities,
  • can communicate effectively with both peers and senior stakeholders
  • are enthusiastic, communicative, flexible and you are an excellent team player,
  • are transparent, open-minded and value diversity and inclusion.

You’ll get extra points for:

  • knowledge of Model Risk Management Framework principles (SR 11-7, EBA guidelines on Model Risk)
  • You love to challenge the status quo and are eager to propose creative solutions.

Your responsibilities:

  • SPOC role execution for reports delivery process including planning, initial review of the results, collection of qualitative insights, coordination of the review process, presentation for sign-off
  • Preparation, execution, and analysis of model inventory landscape reports
  • Data quality assurance for reporting purpose

Model Risk Oversight (MRO) is a fast growing, energetic, international team of highly qualified Model Risk Experts, Business Analysts, and Developers. MRO is developing and rolling out the new Model Risk Management (MoRM) framework which scope covers all models used within ING Bank worldwide. To further strengthen and manage the model risk management activities, MRO expands within Risk Hub of ING Hubs Poland. The Risk Hub Model Risk Oversight Chapter supports/guides global and local model communities in execution of the model life cycle activities, together with Global MRO team facilitates oversight, monitoring model risk, and reporting for local entities. We are looking for Model Risk Experts to drive Model Risk Management framework and to support Model Risk Lifecycle activities in ING.
