Job Description

Are you passionate about shaping the future of sustainability, collaborative robotics, and machine intelligence? Join our advanced development team as an AI research Intern, where you’ll work on groundbreaking projects that aims to tackle challenging problems at the intersection of multi-modal AI (MMAI), and robotic machine intelligence. Imagine a world where robots can understand and follow complex instructions as efficiently as humans - you can help make that a reality! Overall, the candidate will support the supervisor to:

  • Implement and optimize the developed algorithms for robotic disassembly.
  • Investigate cutting edge vision foundation models to improve robotic comprehension and task execution.
  • Develop innovative techniques to tackle the MMAI assistant challenges.
  • Evaluate the performance of MMAI-based robotic systems in diverse scenarios to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Meticulously document development processes, algorithms, and performance metrics, contributing to the project’s knowledge base.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to work full time for a period of at least 6 months
  • Undergraduate/Postgraduate currently pursuing a Degree/Masters in Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, or a related technical field with a keen desire to learn and adapt.
  • Hands-on experience with natural language processing and deep learning-based object detection, localization and segmentation frameworks (e.g., YOLO, SegmentAnything etc.).
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow/PyTorch), LLM prompt engineering, Python, GitHub, and retrieval augmented generation (RAG) solutions.
  • Curiosity-driven, independent thinking, and creatively solve complex problems.
  • Aptitude for gathering reliable and trustworthy data, summarizing new knowledge quickly and efficiently.
  • (Highly desirable) Prior research experience; Familiarity with C++, ROS2, MoveIT, Gazebo, CLIP, and Vision Language models
