ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently looking for an intern in the Processing Center of Excellence team. This opportunity is a 4-months position. This role is a great opportunity to work within a highly strategic team and will expose you to several of our operations and commodities. The role is based in Montreal – Rio Tinto’s hub for the Americas.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Successfully completed 2+ years in a Bachelor Degree inMining, Material, Chemical, Process Control/Automation/Electrical Engineering with sound understanding of data analysis
• Less than 2 years of experience in the field (local or international)
• Prior experience in mineral processing an asset
• SQL knowledge is considered an asset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly driven, keen to learn and develop
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Able to be autonomous and effective at prioritizing
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken. Rio Tinto is a global company and the duties of this position require daily collaboration with colleagues, teams or partners based outside Quebe
