QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of protein expression systems and techniques for protein purification and validation.
  • Experience with standard laboratory techniques such as SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, and chromatography.
  • Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and databases relevant to proteomics research.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with recombinant protein expression in bacterial, yeast, or mammalian systems.
  • Understanding of protein structure and function relationships.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Science Intern to join our research team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest or prior experience and interest in proteomics. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic research environment and contribute to groundbreaking projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the design and execution of experiments related to protein expression and purification.
  • Support the laboratory’s daily operations and management of experimental inventories
  • Perform validation assays to confirm protein expression and functionality using techniques such as ELISA and SPR.
  • Support proteomic analyses, including sample preparation, data acquisition, and interpretation of results.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize protocols and improve experimental workflows.
  • Maintain detailed laboratory records and ensure the accuracy and reproducibility of experimental data.
  • Stay up-to-date with current literature and advancements in the field of proteomics and protein research.
