JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Duties

  • Provide professional advice and guidance on data protection and information governance processes and procedures to internal and external customers that will have institution, regional or national wide impacts, advising on the impact of programme workstreams in student mental health on strategic developments and plans
  • Take responsibility for resolving issues independently within the Student Mental Health Partnerships Programme where they fall within set role objectives, using judgement and creativity to suggest the most appropriate course of action and ensuring complex and conceptual issues and solutions are understood by the audience
  • Plan and deliver projects that have a programme or institution wide impact, managing the operation of project teams as needed, planning, organising and delegating work, monitoring progress and intervening as required
  • Investigate and analysis specific issues within information governance for the Student Mental Health Partnerships Programme, creating recommendation reports, supported by advances within information governance/ data protection legislation or policy.
  • Ensure that the provision of information governance leadership, advice and support is delivered to the Student Mental Health Partnerships Programme, proactively changing the delivery according to customer requirements, contributing to the development of institution, regional or national standards within identified student mental health workstreams or projects.
  • Establish relationships with key contacts to ensure role objectives are meet, developing appropriate communication links with the programme partners and outside bodies as required
  • Create specific working groups from colleagues across the programme to achieve the programme objectives and deliverables.
  • Develop and deliver training for specific work areas within Student Mental Health Partnerships Programme
  • Undertake a variety of administrative duties to support the department
  • Instruct and guide other employees across the programme as required

  • Abide by University policies on Health and Safety and Equality and Diversity
  • Perform other duties occasionally which are not included above, but which will be consistent with the role
